Cannabis and psychedelic science is expanding rapidly, but many important questions remain unanswered.
Patients are using cannabis and psychedelics. Clinicians are being asked to provide guidance. Communities are navigating changing laws, cultural beliefs, health claims, and evolving public attitudes. Researchers are working to understand potential benefits, risks, mechanisms, and long-term health effects.
We are a multidisciplinary and globally connected research collaboratory based at the University of Miami that advances cannabis and psychedelic science through rigorous investigation, meaningful partnership, innovative methods, and responsible translation.
Cannabis and psychedelics sit at the intersection of medicine, public health, neuroscience, behavior, culture, policy, and community experience.
Research in these areas cannot be advanced through a single discipline, institution, or perspective. GCAP was established to create a collaborative scientific environment to answer complex questions and develop evidence that is both rigorous and socially relevant.
